This is the Day that the Lord has made!

Arrival. Children arrive at the center at 9:00 a.m. Parents are welcome to bring their child downstairs or drive around to the lower entrance via the circular driveway. There students are met by our staff and escorted into the building. Picking up your child is done the same way at 11:30 a.m. except parents are required to sign their child out on the sign out sheet provided by one of our staff.

The day begins. Our day begins with self directed play in the many, well supplied activity centers in each classroom area. Students are encouraged to become good decision makers by choosing what to do, how to do it and with whom. Making appropriate decisions helps a student to develop a positive self concept and strengthens good social values, attitudes and habits.

Together Time. Together time is a focus activity where students join together for morning prayer, a bible talk and celebrations in song. It is a time for the Pledge to the Flag, learning about the calendar and counting, the weather and highlighting the days activities Birthdays are recognized by having a very noisy Musical parade which may take us outside on a sunny day.

Snack Time! Snacks are provided daily. We use only 100% whole juice drinks and serve a variety of healthful snacks. Birthday students are able to bring a prepackaged birthday snack for the day. Snack time provides an opportunity for students to learn to say grace and practice table manners. We also have an opportunity to learn about each other through polite conversation.

Off to Work. Then it is off to work. We play and learn at the same time. The center s academic program is developmentally appropriate and challenging. Learning outcomes are driven by long and short term goals and implemented through carefully planned daily lessons which stimulate and motivate the learner through engaged learning activities that challenge the various learning modes. (visual, kinetic, auditory) Classes are divided into small work groups and supervised by the teacher and an assistant teacher.

The Day Ends Our day ends with a variety of activities designed to bring closure to the day. Finger plays and stories to listen to and discuss, class discussions about friendship and sharing and just time to talk about what they learned to do.
